Sa Xerxa announces eleven shows that will be premiered at the FIET 2019

During the Vilafranca de Bonany fair the first installments will be sold at very special prices

A new edition of the FIET, the Children’s and Juvenile Theater Fair of the Balearic Islands arrives. The seventeenth edition of the FIET will be held between the 17th and the 20th of October in Vilafranca de Bonany (Mallorca), a town that will once again become a stage full of life and where the streets and places will breathe Performing arts everywhere.

The FIET will host professionals, companies and programmers of the performing arts of the Balearic Islands, the State and different European countries, highlighting a unique and differentiated offer of theater, circus and dance aimed at the family audience.

This Sunday, September 1 at the Feria del Meló, the first tickets of the FIET will be sold at very special prices. You can find the Sa Xerxa ​​parade in the Plaza Mayor de Vilafranca between 9:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. Tickets for 10 tickets will be sold at € 45, a very low price and affordable for the first viewers. The FIET has the objective of bringing the theater closer to the children and the towns of Mallorca and that is why it is committed to offering prices within the reach of citizens.

It should be noted that among the works chosen to form the FIET 2019 program there are eleven works that will be premiered in Vilafranca, they are:

– ‘Trencaclosques a la Mar’ de la companyia Trencaclosques (Illes Balears)
– ‘Hamelí’ de Xip Xap Teatre (Catalunya)
– ‘Moby Dick’ del Centre de Titelles de Lleida (Catalunya)
– ‘Pigs’ de la companyia Campi Qui Pugui (Catalunya)
– ‘Zoom’ de la companyia MOV-I-MENTS (Catalunya) Work in progres
– ‘Pinochio’ de Gorakada Teatro (País Basc)
– ‘Nautilus 2000 llegües de viatge submarí’ de la cia La Negra (País Valencià)

In total, FIET 2019 will represent fifty shows of companies from the Balearic Islands, Catalonia, Andalusia, Madrid, Valencia, La Rioja and the Basque Country, distributed between different scenic spaces in the village of Vilafranca between 17 and October 20, 2019.

The FIET is organized by Sa Xerxa ​​de Teatre Infantil i Juvenil de les Balears with the support of the Ajuntament de Vilafranca, la Cofae, el Ministerio de Cultura, la Conselleria de Presidència, Cultura i Igualtat, l’Institut d’Estudis Baleàrics i el departament de Cultura, Patrimoni i Política Lingüística del Consell de Mallorca.
